MATERIALS
NEEDED:
STYROFOAM*
Brand Products:
Heart, 7" x 1/2" (or size of your choice; if pre-cut heart is not
available, use a serrated knife to cut a heart from 1/2" or 1" sheet
of STYROFOAM brand foam)
Other
Materials:
Floral decoupage paper
Acrylic craft paint, to match decoupage paper
Decoupage sealer
Ruffle bias tape, 3/4 yd., coordinating color
Gold braid, 3/4 yd., coordinating color
Satin ribbon, 1/2" x 12", coordinating color
Sharp nail scissors
Paintbrush, stiff bristle
Iron
Thick white craft glue
| INSTRUCTIONS: |
| 1.
Paint heart using stiff brush. Let dry. |
| 2.
Cut designs from decoupage paper; glue to heart. Press firmly
with fingers to smooth out air bubbles. |
| 3.
Brush on sealer; let dry. Add another coat, if necessary. |
| 4.
Open up ruffle bias tape; glue to outside edge of heart with
bias wrapped to back of heart. Let dry. Iron ruffle flat. |
| 5.
Glue gold braid around edge of heart. |
| 6.
Tie bow in 9" length of ribbon; form loop from remaining 3"
length. Glue loop and bow to center top of heart. |
