| INSTRUCTIONS: |
| 1.
Use a sharp pencil and ruler to mark off a 1" frame around the
sheet of STYROFOAM. Scored lines should be felt through fabric. |
| 2.
Cut fabrics to size (see Supplies list). |
| 3.
Center 16 1/2" x 10 1/2" fabric on foam sheet. Position putty
knife on scored lines and push 1/4" seam allowances into foam.
For a clean, crisp "seam," hold putty knife straight up and
down and work on a large flat surface. Tuck in stray fabric
with a knife. Carefully trim excess fabric. |
| 4.
To create frame, place 3 1/2" x 11" fabric strip on short edge
of sheet so 1/4" extends over scored lines. Position knife on
scored lines and push 1/4" seam allowances into the foam; glue
excess fabric to back. Repeat using remaining fabric strips. |
| 5.
Lightly mark center of bulletin board and the center of outside
edges of frame (see dots on diagram). Center 25" ribbons on
board, forming an "X"; secure with straight pins. |
| 6.
Following diagram, place 15" ribbons on top of the board, forming
diamond shape with ends meeting at center of outside edges of
frame; secure with pins. Glue excess ribbon to back of board. |
| 7.
Remove straight pins and replace with thumb tacks dipped in
glue. |
| 8.
Center 13" x 19" fabric on back of board. Fold 1/2" edge under
and glue in place. |
| 9.
Glue picture hanger to back. |
