INSTRUCTIONS:
Note: Use 26-gauge wire unless otherwise indicated.

1. Using pattern, cut two feet from foam sheet with serrated knife. Sand rough edges smooth with a scrap piece of foam. Center each foot on a 9" x 12" sheet of white felt. Wrap excess felt around edges onto bottom of feet and glue, smoothing out any wrinkles or folds. If needed, use straight pins to secure felt until dry and then remove. Cut two 8" x 9" pieces of white felt and glue to bottom of feet. When dry, trim felt close to edges of foam.
2. Cut two 18" lengths from 5/8" dowel and paint white for legs. Let dry.
3. Cut a 30" x 18" rectangle from white felt for bloomers. See diagram to cut a 6" slit in center bottom of rectangle. Fold 18" ends to center, overlapping them slightly. Glue this back seam, gluing lower 6" to slit edges for legs of bloomers. Let dry. Using a chenille needle and pearl cotton, sew gathering stitches around top edge of bloomers and bottom of each leg, leaving long threads at the ends. Do not gather fabric at this time.
4. Insert and glue 1/2" dowel halfway into 5" foam ball head. Cut an 18" square of white felt. Center felt over ball and gather around dowel with wire. Trim any excess felt close to ball.
5. Cut 2-1/2" foam ball in half for muzzle pieces. Cut two 5" squares and two 4" squares of white felt. Place each half ball flat side up in center of a 5" felt square. Wrap felt around edges of half ball onto flat back and glue. Glue a 4" felt square to flat side of each half ball. When dry, trim felt close to edges of foam.
6. Cut two 18" lengths of 16-gauge wire. Press and glue a 2" foam ball hand onto one end of each wire arm. Cut two 9" squares of white felt. Wrap a felt square around each hand and gather around the attached wire with 26-gauge wire. Trim any excess felt close to each ball.
7. Cut a 45" x 9" strip of lavender print fabric. Overlap and glue long edges to form a tube. Insert wire arms in sleeve tube. Gather sleeves just above foam ball hands with wire, letting cuffs extend over hands slightly.
8. Cut 3" foam ball in half. Cut one 5" square and one 4" square from white felt. Follow Step 5 to cover one half ball for the tail.
ASSEMBLY:
1. Poke a hole in center top of each foot where a leg will be placed as indicated on pattern. Glue ends of legs into feet, making sure dowels are straight and firmly secured. Place bloomers over dowel legs.
2. Center 6" foam ball body on top of legs and press lightly, making indentations in foam to mark placement. Remove. Use a scissors or knife to make holes in foam at indentations. Insert top of dowel legs into holes. Adjust top of 6" ball until it is 21" above work surface. Glue legs to body.
3. Raise bloomers over ball body and then pull long threads from gathering stitches to tightly gather waist. Knot thread to secure and trim. Repeat to gather legs of bloomers around each dowel.
4. Cut wire from inside top of lampshade and then slide shade over top of ball body.
5. Poke a small hole in center top of ball body. Press head onto body until foam pieces touch and then glue.
6. Wrap the center of a wire securely around dowel joint between head and body. Then wrap the wire around center of sleeves, attaching arms to top back of body.
FINISHING:
1. Using patterns, cut four ears and two eyelids from white felt. Pair and glue ears, sandwiching a chenille stem centered lengthwise between the layers.
2. Attach eyes and nose to head, poking small holes in felt for the shanks before gluing. Glue eyelids over tops of eyes. Make two small holes close together in top of head. Finger gather the base of each ear and glue inside the holes. Glue muzzle pieces side by side just below nose.
3. Glue tail to center bottom of lampshade at back.
4. Tear three 10" x 3/4" strips of lavender print fabric. Tie each strip into a small bow. Glue two bows to feet at base of legs. Reserve remaining bow.
5. Using patterns, cut four hearts and one tummy from lavender felt. Glue tummy to center front of lampshade. Bend ears forward and glue a heart to the tip of each one. Glue three large buttons evenly spaced down center front of tummy. Glue a small button to center of bow at each foot.
6. Cut a 45" x 6" strip from lavender print fabric for a collar. Fold strip in half lengthwise wrong sides together. Sew gathering stitches across long raw edges with pearl cotton. Pull threads to gather collar, wrap around neck, and tie.
7. Tie remaining pearl cotton in a bundle and glue between ears for a tuft of hair. Glue remaining bow to hair tuft.
8. Remove stem from one flower and glue to left side of collar. Wire stems of remaining flowers together in a bouquet. Pinch centers of seed packets together to make fan shapes and then wire packets around stems of bouquet. Glue bouquet to bunny's hand. Tear an 18" x 1" strip of lavender print fabric. Tie strip in a small bow with long streamers and trim ends diagonally. Glue bow to front of bouquet.
